Thurnby rallied but Brett Adams doubled the home score 4 minutes into the 2nd half and Jamie Pawley added 2 in the last 15 to complete a 4-0 opening day scoreline. Jake Duffy hit a goal in each half as Bardon Hill opened their season with a 0-2 away win at Gedling Town. Anstey Nomads look to have a better season with a 0-3 away win at Radford when Adam Taylor netted a 2nd half brace after Steve Charles had broken the deadlock in the first half. Rich Lewis netted the only goal late in the 1st half as Ellistown took the points in the Leicestershire derby with a 1-0 defeat of Hinckley. Radcliffe Olympic returned from Barrow Town as 0-2 away winners after Grant Walton broke the deadlock and Carl Westcarr sealed the points with a late second. A brace from Tom Wood eased St Andrews to a 1-3 away win at Graham St Prims after he and Dan Henfrey had given the Andrews a 0-2 lead on the hour. Chris Briggs reduced the arrears but Wood scored his 2nd of the fixture with 2 minutes to go. Greenwood Meadows scrapped for a point at Holwell Sports after playing for an hour with 10 men. Jourdan Blair gave Greenwood the lead before they were reduced to 10 men; Ryan Whatley hit home a penalty either side of half time before Kieran Walker rescued a point for Greenwood in a 2-2 draw. Holbrook Sports had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Gedling Miners Welfare.
