HEANOR TOWN’s third win of the season over RADFORD lifted them back into second position in the table with a game in hand over leaders Sherwood Colliery. Kieran Debrouwer broke the deadlock on 32 minutes and then a brace from Jamie Sleigh on 34 and 44 minutes put the Lions well in control by the break. Simon Hore got one back two minutes into the second half but Sleigh completed his hat-trick just after the hour for a comfortable Heanor win.
Meanwhile, two of the leading pack were sharing the spoils at Lenton Lane where leaders SHERWOOD COLLIERY came back from a 3-1 deficit to snatch a valuable point off DUNKIRK who had taken early control of this top-of-the-table fixtures with goals from Mason Frizelle on eleven minutes and Jordan Alls seven minutes later. Jobe Shaw’s 42nd minute goal brought the Colliers back into contention only for Blair Anderson to reopen the two goal gap early in the second half. Gareth Curtis gave Sherwood a fighting chance with a 74th minute goal and in a hectic finish Lewis Weaver snatched them a point five minutes into stoppage time.
KIMBRERLEY MINERS WELFARE went a very long time without an away win but made it two on the trot with a handsome 3-0 success at INGLES. Jordan Lambert struck five minutes before the break and then hit a second two minutes into the second half. The points were made totally safe for the visitors when Aboo Younis hit a third on 72 minutes.
WEST BRIDGFORD recorded their fifth home victory of the season with a 3-1 success against bottom rungers BORROWASH VICTORIA. Ryan Whitehurst led the assult with a 15th minute penalty. Callum Lloyd then made it two at the break with a 40th minute goal. The Vics staged a second half recovery and there was a strong determination to gain a point when Rhoadri Meads found the net on 75 minutes. Elliott King killed off the visitors chances with a third home goal with a minute to go.
Ryan Smith broke the deadlock on 40 minutes for CLIFTON ALL WHITES in their home encounter with GRAHAM STREET PRIMS. The visitors levelled things up eight minutes later through Jake Dickinson and it stayed like that with the points being shared.
BELPER UNITED kept their discipline to beat struggling TEVERSAL 2-0 at Christchurch Meadows. Tevie had Joshua Radford dismissed on 38 minutes but held out until Josh Wright’s lovely goal ended one of the best moves of the match to put United in front on 52 minutes. A rash rush off his line by custodian Cameron Barke to bring down Phil Granville saw the goalkeeper dismissed on 88 minutes and Granville hit home the free kick to complete the home win.
