A Happy New Year to all.

And the New Year started well with all nine games going ahead for the first time for weeks.

No excuses for once again starting with BORROWASH VICTORIA who won for the second successive week. Becoming a habit one might say! Joel Isaac gave them a good start to the second half with a goal after 47 minutes after the first 45 had ended goal-less. Lewis Weaver equalised five minutes later for RAINWORTH MINERS WELFARE only for Nathan Bennett to pounce with a 57th minute winner for the Vics.

EASTWOOD COMMUNITY retained their position at the top of the table with a 2-0 home win over BARROW TOWN given them by goals from a Kieran Knight 24th minute penalty and a Ross Palmer strike eleven minutes later.

HEANOR TOWN are rapidly closing in after winning their top-of-the-table game at home to HUCKNALL TOWN by four clear goals in front of the best crowd of the day of 221. Tristan Matthews and Jon Jebbison got their first half goals with a second from Matthews and one from Kyle Daley in the second half.

DUNKIRK boosted their title hopes with a 5-0 thrashing of WEST BRIDGFORD at Lenton Lane. Jordan Alls and Sacha Markelic both scored early first half goals and Ellis Evans and a brace from Tyrell Shannon-Lewis got late second half goals to complete the nap hand.

The biggest winners of the day were BELPER UNITED who completed a 7-1 home win over GEDLING MINERS WELFARE, thus putting a dent into their title hopes. Ryan Baker got two early goals for United before Charlie Roberts pulled one back just before the break. United then ran riot in the second half with further goals from skipper James Rushby, new signing James Ozmen on his debut, Nial Mather and a brace from Curtis Williamson.

The biggest away win of the day was completed by Leicestershire side INGLES with a 4-1 success at TEVERSAL. Mark Etherington and River Hardy had given the visitors a two goal lead by the eighth minute and Kyle Fowkes had made it 3-0 by the interval. A Daniel Fullwood penalty on 62 minutes halted the flow momentarily but Daniel Bryans had the final say with the visitors fourth goal ten minutes from the end.

CLIPSTONE and KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE could not be separated with the visitors claiming their ninth draw of the season. Blake Cooke had given them the lead on 18 minutes but Jack Siddall levelled two minutes into the second half for Clipstone.

A Ryan Smith goal five minutes from the end gave RADFORD victory over GRAHAM STREET PRIMS. Joe Nice had given the Pheasants the lead in first half stoppage time but George Lynam levelled from the penalty spot on 47 minutes

Two first half goals from Jevin Seaton were enough for CLIFTON ALL WHITES to claim all three points on their visit to struggling SHIREBROOK TOWN.

Where next?
