Tuesday evening’s activities saw only one league match played, but it was enough to take SHERWOOD COLLIERY back to the top of the table. They had to do it the hard way though, playing with ten men for the last hour of the game after Jamie York was red carded on 30 minutes. It then became the late show as visitors
BELPER UNITED held out until just after the hour mark when Jobe Shaw broke the deadlock. Liam Theakstone’s penalty safely despatched with eleven minutes left finally gave the Colliery the points which took them back to the head of the table on goal difference from Eastwood Community.

BARROW TOWN suffered their second defeat of the week bowing out of the Jelson Holmes Leicestershire & Rutland Senior Cup by a 3-1 scoreline at United Counties League side Melton Town. It began to look different though when Theo Sjoberg put the Riversiders in front on 67 minutes. Zak Munton levelled things up ten minutes later and it was his eventual hat-trick which paved the way for Melton to progress to the next round. Four minutes from the end he put his side in front and then completed his threesome, and the scoring, two minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game.

At Lenton Lane between AFC DUNKIRK and RADFORD saw the Notts Senior League Side progress to the Third Round of the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup with a 3-0 win. Luis Parkes hit two of the goals with McKenna Parton claiming the other.

It took penalties to decide the outcome of the Leicestershire & Rutland Senior Cup tie at Aylestone Park Youth Seniors after a thrilling game finished 4-4. The game went straight to penalties which saw INGLES win the shoot-out 3-1. The actual game itself was both thrilling and momentous with a player from each side recording hat-tricks. Kyle Fowkes brace inside the first thirteen minutes gave Ingles the best possible start, but by the break Tom Hill had scored twice for Aylestone and Riley Davoile had put them in front. Tom Hill completed his hat-trick four minutes into the second half and that looked like that for the Shepshed based
side. But no! They hit back with a Daniel Bryans goal on 70 minutes and then Kyle Fowkes completed his hat-trick to take the game to penalties.

The League game between WEST BRIDGFORD and BORROWASH VICTORIA was
postponed.
