Just one league match in midweek saw EASTWOOD COMMUNITY win with a stoppage time goal at ten men GEDLING MINERS WELFARE. Gedling were the first to show their colours when Courtney Hastings put them ahead after just eight minutes. Kieran Knight levelled ten minutes later and Connor Wrenn put the visitors in front two minutes before the break. Jack Jepson restored parity again for Gedling on 69 minutes but earlier scorer Courtney Hastings was sent off for a second yellow card offence five minutes later. Then came the decider in favour of the visitors in the first minute of added on time from Danny Hayes.
Two of our sides were engaged in Third Round Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup ties. CLIFTON ALL WHITES had a comfortable victory away at Central Midlands League outfit Ashland Rovers where both Ash Way and Kevin Hemagou scored twice in their 4-0 victory, three of the goals coming in the second half.
SELSTON also made progress with an equally comfortable 4-1 home win over Nottinghamshire Senior League side Southwell City. Klarke Greenham led the scoring spree with a goal in each half and there were follow up efforts from Kane Hempshall and Lee Sutton.
