For the first time this season the weather intervened with the fixtures and the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup tie at Ashland Rovers and the Derbyshire FA Senior Challenge Cup tie at Mickleover Sports were postponed, leaving only two midweek games.
The Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup Third Round tie at Bilborough Town did go ahead on schedule but the Nottinghamshire Senior League side were no match for an EASTWOOD COMMUNITY side who are capturing everything before them this season in knock-out competitions. After a goal-less first half in which the home side were given just a glimmer of a possible upset, the visitors opened up with a five goal blast to seal victory. Jack Allen had broke the deadlock within three minutes of the restart and Aaron Short had added a second ten minutes later. Further goals from Jack James, Patrick Webb and Kenny Sanders made it a comfortable 5-0 victory for Eastwood in the end.
In the Leicestershire & Rutland Jelson Holmes Cup Quarter Final the all East Midlands Counties League affair saw ASHBY IVANHOE through to the semi-final with a 5-1 win over visiting INGLES. Joel Earps rattled in the first after just five minutes with Kerr Horn adding a second seven minutes later. Both went on to pick up second goals later in the game and Mitchell Woodbine got the home side’s fifth. Kyle Fowkes got a consolation for Ingles with seven minutes of the game remaining.
